Epic Games was extraordinarily generous in 2022, offering gamers tons of games that were worth a tidy sum. Over the past year, Epic Games Store users have received 90 completely free games. Both small indie blockbusters and big-budget AAA projects entered distribution. The total cost of all donated games eventually exceeded 150 thousand rubles.
GameRant has shared their estimates of the total number of games donated to the Epic Games Store and their cost. As it turned out, 90 games of completely different genres were included in the distribution of EGS in 2022. Their total cost is 2244 dollars, or 157,837 rubles with direct conversion.
The most expensive games in the Epic Games Store distribution were Borderlands 3, XCOM 2 and Total War: Warhammer, which sold for $ 60 each without discounts. Interestingly, it was the last month of 2022 that became the most generous. The company donated 19 games in December, including a collection of classic games from Fallout, Death Stranding, Dishonored: Definitive Edition, Metro: Last Light Redux and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
