After a year of hiatus due to the pandemic, the Gijón Polytechnic School of Engineering recovers a sporting event that is becoming a classic: the Cross EPI Gijón – Ramón Gallego. The twelfth edition will be held in virtual format, adapted to health circumstances. Between March 15 and 28, participants will be able to take the tour of 3 kilometers in any of the two EPI circuits or anywhere in the world, through the app. The organization has been forced to reinvent itself and innovate, which is “one of the fundamental characteristics of a good engineer”, as highlighted in the presentation Ramon Gallego, Head of Referees and Laws of the Game of the International Handball Federation and former professor of the EPI, who gives its name to the event.
It is a cross aimed at runners born before 2007. Registration opens this Thursday through both the web https://bit.ly/EPICROSS2021 or de 321go.es. The trademarks will be registered in the application that must be downloaded after registration. From the EPI the effort of the students stands out, who once again turn to a test that has traditionally been characterized by its festive nature. This year will be different but, as the director of the EPI Juan Carlos Campo himself highlighted, the students continue to be committed despite the fact that this year they will not obtain benefits for the study trip.
