With its 90 chalets including 16 dedicated to catering salty and sweet and local cuisine, the Christmas Market will offer numerous activities for young and old. Rides (a carousel, flying chairs, a little train) and the famous Santa Claus mailbox will complete the system so that everyone can experience the magic of Christmas at their own pace and according to their desires. The 90 chalets will be open Sunday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Activities will also be offered by city center merchants in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with the support of the City, thus contributing to the commercial vitality of the Écusson.
Start of the illuminations
From Tuesday November 26 at 6 p.m., the anniversary of the City of Montpellier, our streets will be lit up in the most beautiful colors until Sunday January 5, 2025, the day before the start of the school year. Two new sites will be illuminated: the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle and the Arc de Triomphe.
A meter-high Christmas tree
A natural fir tree will return to its original place in front of the facade of the Opéra Comédie. Like last year, this natural tree will reach a height of 15 meters. This tree consists of a main natural tree 10 meters high from sustainable cultivation installed on a vegetated extension of operating branches as well.
