The Ensanche de A Coruña, among the most expensive neighborhoods in Spain to live

The Recoletos neighborhood in Madrid (8,683 euros/m2), the Área Romántica in San Sebastián (7,786 euros/m2), the Sarrià neighborhood in Barcelona (7,387 euros/m2) and, although some distance away in Galicia, the Eixample of A Coruña (3,388 euros/m2), are among the most expensive in Spain to buy a home, according to a report by the real estate portal Fotocasa.

In Madrid capital, the areas of La Castellana (6,995 euros/m2), Jerónimos (6,579 euros/m2) and Almagro (6,305 euros/m2) stand out. For their part, in San Sebastián, the Old Town and Gros reached 6,336 euros and 6,136 euros per m2, respectively.

Analyzing other large cities in Spain, Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga or Santander are also positioned as some of the most expensive in the country with more than 4,000 euros per m2 in the most expensive neighborhoods.

In Bilbao, Abandoibarra-Guggenheim stands out (4,945 euros/m2), in the case of Palma the most expensive is that of the Sindicat (4,919 euros/m2), in Malaga that of La Malagueta-La Caleta (4,679 euros/m2) and in Santander The first position is occupied by El Sardinero (4,357 euros/m2).

In Seville, the neighborhood with the highest price is Alfalfa–Santa Cruz in the Old Town district, reaching 3,399 euros per m2, while in the capital of Valencia it is El Pla del Remei, located in L’Eixample (3,792 euros /m2).

In the capital Zaragoza, the neighborhood with the highest price is Paseo Independencia (2,643 euros/m2), while in the Canary Islands, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the most expensive city, especially in the Santa Catalina-Canteras neighborhood (3,191 euros/m2).

Salamanca and Valladolid stand out as the most expensive municipalities in the community of Castilla y León and their downtown neighborhoods reach 2,980 euros/m2 and 2,586 euros/m2, respectively.

In the case of Extremadura, the capital Badajoz is the most expensive municipality to buy a home and the María Auxiliadora-Barriada de Llera neighborhood is the most exclusive with 1,787 euros per m2.

In Galicia, the most expensive neighborhood is the Eixample of A Coruña (3,388 euros/m2), in Asturias the San Francisco-Uría Park in Oviedo (2,259 euros/m2), in Navarra the Lezkairu neighborhood in Pamplona (2,519 euros/m2 ) and in La Rioja that of Cascajos-Piqueras in Logroño (2,581 euros/m2).
