“The Englishman who went up a hill but came down a mountain” free screening in Sagunto City Hall’s spring cultural program

The spring program of the Sagunto City Hall Culture delegation includes the projection of the film The Englishman who went up a hill but came down a mountain (1995), by Christopher Monger and starring Hugh Grant, Tara Fitzgerald and Colm Meaney, among others. The film can be seen for free at the Mario Monreal Cultural Center in Sagunto on Sunday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m.

The film, which takes us back to the year 1917, tells the story of the small Welsh town of Fynnon Garw, which boasts of having what they themselves call “the first mountain in Wales”. When two cartographers arrive to make the appropriate measurements, the result indicates that it is not a mountain, but a hill. The locals will do their best to correct the mistake and change the verdict.
