The English Inspired Education Group enters the capital of Khalil Jabrane schools

Installed in Rabat and Marrakech and launched during the 80s, the Khalil Jabrane schools (taking the name of Khalil Gabrane School) belonging to the Lyoubi family will soon see the entry of the Londoner Inspired Education Holding, the network of schools already present in Europe , Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, in the funding round. In this context, the Competition Council was notified of the operation on April 7, we learn.

The operation will take the form of an indirect joint takeover, we know in the notice which will be made public on May 5.

According to our information, the schools, piloted by the company Institution Khalil Jabrane, following the Cambridge program, had experienced a financial crisis a few years ago. This had earned the company a receivership decided in 2017. Since then, the company has come out of it, shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, reassures us Abderrahim Hassoun, trustee appointed on the occasion. “All outstanding payments have been settled”, he lets us know.

Founded in 2013 by Nadim Nsouli, Inspired Education Group announced on May 3 a fundraising of one billion euros from the New York investment fund Stonepeak.
