The engine appeared! Donald Trump’s Boeing 757 takes off again

Reading time: 2 minutes

The Boeing 757 that operates as the personal transport of the Ex President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, is back in the air after 5 years on the ground. The plane took off from New York where it was stored heading to Chennault International Airport near Lake Charles in Louisiana where it will receive major maintenance before returning to service.

The Boeing 757 registration N757AF that was owned by TAESA with whom he traded per year with the registration XA-SPG, was used extensively by the President during his 2016 presidential campaign. The aircraft is easily recognizable by its large red “T” on the tail and the letters “TRUMP” in gold on the front of the fuselage.

Upon taking the presidency, Donald Trump needed to use authorized transports for the transfer of the President such as the famous VC-25A, the military version of the Boeing 747 that is used as Air Force One. For a time the planes continued to operate for the Trump Corporation, but In 2017, the 757 was parked at Stewart International Airport in New York.

The plane was parked there for the entirety of Trump’s presidency, with one of its engines removed. Rumors were that the engine was severely damaged and a new engine was needed to make the plane operational once again. Well it looks like the new engine has finally been found as the former President’s Boeing 757 was seen taking off from Stewart Airport earlier this week.

The plane took off from New York Stewart (SWF) at 12:25 local time on Monday, November 1. The plane was bound for Chennault International (CWF) and stayed in flight for two hours when it made an unscheduled stop. As it passed Nashville to the south, it made a sharp turn north and headed toward the Nashville International Airport (BNA)

Some reports indicate that the plane declared an emergency, however whatever the emergency was, it was not severe since the plane was back in the air an hour later. At 14:47 local time the N757AF took off again, landing at CWF one hour and 16 minutes later. Trump has insisted that the plane would be back as he wants to use it again for rallies in future political campaigns. Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy this operational aircraft again very soon.
