/ world today news/ The three energy companies have no reason to ask for an increase in the price of electricity. This was stated in Stara Zagora by Elenko Bozhkov from the State Commission for Water and Energy Regulation.
He participated in a round table on the income of the population, the rights of consumers. As a striking fact, Bozhkov pointed to the 10 million BGN for representative expenses reported by one of the electricity distribution companies.
The DKEVR is about to consider the analysis of the three companies, but at this stage there is no reason to think about increasing the price of electricity, said Bozhkov, quoted by BNR. According to him, the cost of balancing the energy market is about 3% per year. At the same time, AND VI EN claim BGN 30 million for a balanced market.
Last year they had 12 million for investments, this year – six and 30 million for balancing market. How does this work? So, the one who eats the pie is not crazy, but the one who gives it to him.
To these costs must be added the costs of theft, which are also borne by the end users. Bozhkov pointed to Knezha as an example, where electricity theft reached 80%.
The representative of the state regulator saw a connection between the arbitration case filed against Bulgaria in Washington for the unfulfilled contract between Austria and Bulgaria for the promotion of investments, in which EVN will seek 260 million euros from NEK and the revocation of licenses of the supply companies. And he asked rhetorically: Why don’t you look for a connection between Commissioner Oettinger’s statement yesterday and the arbitration case, and why it should not be seen as an attempt to influence the independent court.
