“We had technical difficulties implementing the award with some energy suppliers,” explained De Croo. According to Lien Meurisse, spokesperson for FPS Economy, there was not enough time. “The legislative framework was voted on October 27 and only published on November 3. The energy suppliers had already prepared the invoices for the month of November.”
“The energy check itself will be available from December, but the total amount will remain the same,” explains De Croo further. “The check is valid for five months, for a total amount of around € 1,000. It will not yet be on the November invoice, but double the December one”.
