According to an UNIAN correspondent, Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said this at a briefing.
“In the Zaporozhye direction, the enemy is building up fire systems. In particular, in the Vasilyevka area, which is 35 km south of Zaporozhye, up to 30 enemy T-62 tanks have been deployed as long-term firing points,” he said.

In addition, according to Motuzyanyk, in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy is trying to stay on the occupied lines and prevent the advance of Ukrainian troops to the state border with Russia.
“To this end, the enemy strengthened the grouping of troops in the indicated direction by transferring one battalion-tactical group from the 2nd Army of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation to the area of the village of Veseloe, 17 km from Kharkov,” the representative of the Ministry of Defense added.
He clarified that the enemy continues to shell Ukrainian positions in the Kharkiv region.
