It was supposed to be beautiful, strong, luxurious and, of course, hellishly fast. The Polish supercar was supposed to be built, but it will not be built. It will not go to customers, despite the fact that one of the copies has already been admired Mateusz Morawiecki in front of the seat of the Ministry of Development.

Arrinera Hussarya, the Polish dream car

The history of Arrinera began in 2008, when the design work on the first model of the Polish company – Arrinera Hussarya supercar – began. The prototype was presented to investors in 2011, and in 2014 the finished model of the first car was publicly shown. Two years later, the launch was also announced wash over the next two versions of this model – GT and 33.

In November 2016, the racing car in the GT edition was even parked in front of the building of the Ministry of Development, and it was watched by Mateusz Morawiecki himself, the then Deputy Prime Minister and the current Prime Minister of Poland. Then it got really loud about the car.

Anyway, the current prime minister liked the car very much. “I am full of admiration that such a product was successfully developed,” he told reporters. He added that he hoped Hussarya would be famous in the future “Polish technical thought in the world”.

For the last 2-3 years, however, the supercar has been exceptionally quiet. Arrinera did not boast about the progress of work, but it was no secret that black clouds were gathering on the project. There was a shortage of people willing to invest in a car, and potential customers are also quite difficult to find.

Hussarya to the basket. Arrinera closes the project

Today it is already known that the project was officially written off. The car will not be completed and production and sales will not start. This was stated by the authorities of the company responsible for the supercar in a published on August 11 this year. an overdue report for the first quarter of 2020 (yes, it is about the period ended over 16 months ago). Arrinera SA explicitly admitted in it that the development of the Hussarya flagship car had been abandoned due to the lack of funds for its further financing. The lack of money was supposed to cause “organizational crisis”the consequences of which the company had to deal with.

Piotr Gniadek, president of the company’s management board, admitted in a statement that efforts were made to save the project by collecting the required funds, but without success. Now, steps will be taken to lead to “putting in order the legal, financial and organizational situation” and will make it possible to decide on Arrinera’s further operations.

Despite attempts made in this regard, it was not possible to find the necessary financing. As a result, this led to the decision to abandon the development of the Arrinera supercar project and to sell the assets related to this project, i.e. all owned shares of Arrinera Technology SA, about which the Company informed in the current report ESPI No. 3/2021 of May 22, 2021.

Arrinera Hussarya was supposed to be a hellishly fast car. The centrally located V8 engine with a capacity of 6.2 liters and a power of 650 hp was to accelerate them to 100 km / h in 3.2 seconds. In addition, the low-slung and aggressive-looking body was visible. The design and most of the car’s elements were or were to be made in Poland, and others were to be taken from the best companies in the industry.

As befits a supercar, Hussarya was also supposed to be quite expensive. Gen. one copy was initially set at approx. 300 thousand dollars (PLN 1.16 million). This is much less than you need to give for superauts of recognized brands in the industry with German or Italian origin, but still too much for the average person.
