The election marks the end of a year and a half of confusion in Nogent-les-Montbard, a town of 166 inhabitants in the district of Montbard, in the north-west of the Côte-d’Or.
Unanimous election
Joceylne Joly has been designated mayor of the town this Friday evening: unanimous vote by the 11 new municipal councilors who also chose the three deputies: Jean-Pierre Broux, Marcel Garcia and Philippe Joly. The inhabitants have already voted this Sunday, January 9, by designating the majority of the list of Jocelyne Joly against the opposition list, with a participation rate of 86%.
Already elected during the last municipal elections in the summer of 2020, Jocelyne Joly was unable to take up her duties: one of her deputies had finally been appointed, Serge Revol winning the vote of the councillors. Problem, a bad vote count was noted, with a second round of voting, marked by the victory of Jocelyne Joly. Too late, the first round was approved at the time by the Côte-d’Or prefecture!
Jocelyne Joly returns to her job
The case had been brought before the Administrative Court and the state Council, which kept Serge Revol in office. After months of tension, the municipal council finally dissolved on October 27, 2021. A new election was therefore held with the victory of Jocelyne Joly, who was already the mayor of Nogent-lès-Montbard between 2014 and 2020. For her part , Serge Revol is no longer a member of the municipal council.
