The end of support for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 21H1 is approaching. Microsoft announces | Building niche PC gaming environments Z

MicrosoftWindows 8.1 and Windows 10 version 21H1 have announced end of support date.

Support for Windows 8.1 will end on January 10, 2023 (local time, 3:00 AM on January 11, 2022, Japan time) and security updates will no longer be provided after Windows Update on this day. Additionally, Windows 8.1 does not provide Extended Security Update / ESU support.

Support for Windows 10 version 21H1 will end on December 13, 2022 (local time. December 14, 2022 at 3:00 am Japan time), and security updates and preview versions will no longer be provided after Windows Update on this day. The following editions and versions will be suspended:

  • Windows 10 Home version 21H1
  • Windows 10 Pro version 21H1
  • Windows 10 Pro Education version 21H1
  • Windows 10 Pro for Workstations version 21H1
  • Windows 10 Enterprise version 21H1
  • Windows 10 Enterprise multisession version 21H1
  • Windows 10 Education version 21H1
  • Windows 10 IoT Enterprise version 21H1

With the end of support for these operating systems, Microsoft recommends upgrading or upgrading to Windows 10 version 21H2 or later or Windows 11 version 21H2 / 22H2.
