The End of March Brings a Hectic Business Week in Agen’s City Center

From Friday March 24 to Saturday April 1, the spring 2023 commercial week will have a busy program to brighten up life in the city center of Agen.

Traders and the city of Agen will collaborate for the third edition of the commercial week, which will kick off on Friday March 24 and end on Saturday 1is avril.

The first edition took place during the Covid-19 period. From now on, traders want to revitalize the city for the start of sunny days.

The first day will take place in music with the Mayu concert on Place Wilson at 5 p.m., to launch this week. The next day, this place will also host two events. From 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a major fashion show will highlight the new collections with a very glamorous page devoted to weddings. An event that will also be found on the closing day, at the same time. These allusions to marriage are not insignificant, during this spring 2023 merchant week.

A wedding day in preparation

Alexandra Greco, the president of the union of merchants and craftsmen of Agen, confirms that a project is underway to set up a special wedding day in Agen next year. “We want to highlight all the actors of the wedding: the hairdressers, the beauticians, the creators and creators of the wedding dresses and also the ready-to-wear shops.” On Place Wilson, the afternoon of Saturday March 25 will be animated by “Les Percut’heures”.

On Wednesday March 29, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the street of the heroes of the Resistance will be animated by children who will have the opportunity to make chalk drawings on the ground. The theme will be spring. At the same time on Place Wilson, children will once again be able to take pictures with the Paw Patrol mascots and the bear from the Columbus café.

Make customers happy

Place Wilson will once again host a street concert, this time on Friday March 31 at 5 p.m. with Floriane Tiozzo. “We really realized that people really liked these outdoor concerts,” explains Alexandra Greco. Finally, after the parade on the last day, “Les Percut’heures” will reappear, place Wilson from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“We are working together to try to bring this city center to life. It is through actions like these that we can show that merchants are really present and ready to give pleasure to potential customers.” The president of the union of merchants and craftsmen of Agen wants to “involve the Agenais” in the life of the city.
