Empalme.- An appeal to the community of Empalme to donate toys, new or used, but in good condition, has made the City Council, which will be delivered this Christmas to low-income children, both in the city and in the valley.
The above, as part of the ‘Natale a la Grande’ program, which the municipal government, chaired by Mayor Luis Fuentes Aguilar, has launched to collect toys with which they try to make children happy, whose families do not have the financial means to buy them not even the most modest toy.
“These are the times to give, to part with what we have little and help our fellow man, and what better way to do that than by giving away a toy that will make a child smile and bring happiness on this very special date,” City Hall said.
He asked that the toy be donated by Friday the 16th, since that day the ‘Natale a la Grande’ program ends, and that he deliver it to the Citizen Attention Office, in the Town Hall, set up as a collection center for them.
Fuentes Aguilar commented that on par with this program is that of Christmas dinners, within which officials and Cabildo members will bring a dinner on December 24 to low-income families, both in the city and in rural areas.
