The Emirates Search and Rescue team continues at its headquarters in the city of Jableh in the Syrian governorate of Lattakia, to qualify and train members of the Syrian Civil Defense in dealing with emergency situations professionally.
Participants in the course receive many practical topics after completing the theoretical process related to the nature of civil defense work, especially in the field of search and rescue, which requires good training, in order to improve their performance.
The course comes within the framework of joint bilateral cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Syrian Arab Republic, and out of keenness to exchange and transfer experiences, expertise and knowledge in the field of search, rescue and emergency, and within the framework of Operation “The Gallant Knight 2”.
The commander of the Emirates Search and Rescue Team in Syria, Lieutenant Colonel Hamad Muhammad Al-Kaabi, said that the training course, which initially included theoretical lessons and moved on to applying practical lessons in the field on real cases, reflected the good level of training of the participants that they received during this course and their professional handling of advanced technical equipment. And dedicated to search and rescue, and through which the competencies of the participants in the course were evaluated, and brought them to the level of professionalism, and provided them with the necessary skills to perform their duties with high professionalism and efficiency.
It is worth noting that the equipment that is being trained by the civil defense men was donated by the state to the benefit of the Syrian Civil Defense, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and is designated for search and rescue and used in the operations of “The Gallant Knight 2”.
