The emergency services intervened after a plane en route to Tromsø on Sunday evening had problems with strong wind and icing. The plane has landed safely at the airport.
– The emergency services have moved to Langnes airport. A plane on its way to Tromsø has run into problems. The plane has landed safely at the airport, writes the Troms police district on Twitter at 9.41pm on Sunday evening.
SAS confirms to NTB that it was one of their planes that reported the problems.
– There was talk of strong wind and icing in the air. It had to abort one landing attempt, but managed to land on the second attempt, says communications director Karin Nyman at SAS to NTB.
The plane landed at 9.37pm, airport manager Ivar Schrøen told NTB.
