The emergency room of Thetford Mines hospital is overflowing

The emergency room of the hospital Thetford is currently the busiest in Chaudière-Appalaches.

According to the report on the situation issued at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning by the CISSS of Chaudière-Appalaches, 17 beds were occupied out of a capacity of 10, an occupancy rate of 170%. Four patients were awaiting hospitalization.

The Montmagny hospital has an occupancy rate of 140% and that of Lévis 135%. On the Saint-Georges Hospital side, 17 stretchers are occupied out of a capacity of 21.
