Last year, the electric Rolls-Royce Specter was responsible for almost a tenth of the sales of the car company’s Czech division. And if you order it today, you will receive it in 2024 at the earliest, the representatives of the brand revealed.
A few days ago, the Rolls-Royce car company told the world that with 6,032 cars sold globally, 2023 was the most successful year in its history. The greatest interest in the new Rolls is in the United States, followed by China, in Europe, where the automaker saw a big increase last year, most orders come from the home country of Great Britain.
We have the only Rolls-Royce showroom in the Czech Republic, in Prague. In 2016, it opened its doors in the building of the InterContinental Hotel in Pařížská street, now new premises are being built in Strašnice with a new visual identity. The opening is planned for the second quarter of this year.
Does the Czech Republic need its own showroom of the most luxurious car manufacturer in the world? Let the numbers speak for themselves – since 2016, over 300 cars have found customers in the Prague store, most of which were new cars. Roughly 30% of them were second-hand – although that word sounds a little out of place for the Rolls-Royce brand – as part of its own program called Provenance.
Cars are not only bought by Czech customers, but also Slovaks and people from other parts of Europe. The ratio of Slovakian customers to Czech customers is about 30:70, but the first electric specter that they sold in Prague went to a customer in Slovakia. It was delivered in November last year.
The Specter is a fairly important car for the brand in general, for one reason. As the Czech representative office revealed at the press conference in Prague, for 40% of specter customers, it is the first Rolls-Royce car they buy.
The interest in him is obviously not small either. The year 2024 has barely begun, and a customer who would come to order a new specter today would not receive it until 2025. However, representatives of the automaker did not reveal how many pieces will pass through the hands of the showroom this year.
“It is very gratifying to see that we are able to meet and exceed the ever-increasing expectations of clients, resulting in sales at an unprecedented level.” says Pavel Kalouš, brand manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Prague, as the full name of the dealership sounds. “Our business continues to be very exclusive, just as Rolls-Royce cars are very rare. This is exactly what customers expect, quite rightly, and the proof is the unique and custom-built projects that we have had the honor of bringing to reality.” supplies.
According to older information, the brand registered 43 new car registrations in the Czech Republic last year, which was 6 more than last year. Almost half of that – 19 units – is the Cullinan SUV, followed by the Ghost sedan with 13 cars, and the Specter and Wraith coupes with four each. Finally, the Dawn convertible was registered as one. All the cars that were sold in the Czech Republic last year had some elements from the Bespoke customization program,
