Peugeot e-Expert is expanding the range of commercial electric vehicles on the Czech market. The basic variant is not much more expensive than the diesel version.

The parameters of the electric user will probably not surprise you too much, as they largely coincide with the personal electric cars of the French brand. Peugeot e-Expert arrives with a single electric motor with an output of 100 kW and 260 newton meters of torque. Acceleration to 100 km / h can be handled by larger versions within 13.3 seconds, but for the customer, the key will be rather the maximum speed, which in the case of this model is 130 km / h.
In addition to the three length levels – L1 (460 cm), L2 (495 cm) and L3 (530 cm) – customers have a choice between two battery capacities. For the shortest variant, only a 50kWh package is available, for longer ones, those interested already have a choice between it and a larger 75kWh version. The electric e-Expert can handle power of up to 100 kW on quick chargers, in which case it takes 32 minutes from zero to 80% (smaller batteries) or 48 minutes (larger). A fully charged battery should then be enough to cover 231 kilometers with a smaller flashlight and 329 km with a larger one.

Peugeot boasts that it has managed to build the electric drive into the EMP2 platform without compromising the car’s performance. As an electric car, it tightens a tonne trailer and, compared to conventional versions, the cargo space has not shrunk in any way. Only the payload of 1275 kg is specific to electric motors.
The electric version is available on the Czech market exclusively from a higher equipment level, and a look at the price list reveals that in the L1 version, the car will cost at least CZK 899,000 without VAT. Currently, however, the promotional price of CZK 684,900 applies to this variant, which is already very decent for the conditions of electric cars. However, a comparable L1 version with a two-liter diesel with an output of 110 kW and a six-speed manual transmission costs CZK 645,000.

The L2 version already costs CZK 924,000, the longest L3 costs CZK 949,000. If you would prefer a larger battery for these two variants, save another CZK 160,000. As standard, the user receives 16 ”steel wheels, manual air conditioning, cruise control, an electrically operated handbrake and height-adjustable head restraints for all seats. It certainly doesn’t mean you have nothing to spend for. Xenon headlights come to CZK 35,000, automatic dual-zone air conditioning costs CZK 8,000, infotainment with navigation CZK 20,500, 17 ”aluminum wheels then CZK 10,000.
Czech customers can already order the new e-Expert. Production takes place near the French city of Valenciennes and the car is to appear on the first markets in the second half of the year. We will only have to wait a little longer for the basic version of the L1, its arrival is not expected until February next year.
