2021 will be a record year for electric car sales in Norway. Well, we have also reached a new milestone. Never before have more than 100,000 new electric cars been sold in one year. But that number has now passed – with one sales month left.
Seven out of ten who bought a new car in November bought an electric car, according to figures from the Road Traffic Information Council (OFV). 73.8 percent market share is the second highest in a month ever.
In total, sales of electric cars ended November at 11,274. This is an increase of as much as 60.3 percent, compared to the same month last year.
If we look at sales so far this year, it is up 58 percent compared to last year. The electric shift is thus in high gear in Norway.
