Samsung has started rolling out three flagship models from the Galaxy S20 series onwards. These three models are divided into normal, + and ultra models. Modify the new plan, there are only 2 models left!?
Korean media outlet The Elec reports that Samsung is currently working on a new generation flagship in the DM project, but the list of smartphones in this project only includes 2 models, the DM1 and DM3, the DM2.
Compared to its predecessor, the DM1 is the Galaxy S24 and the DM3 is the S24 Ultra, while the DM2 is the S24+ that was planned but ultimately cut.
According to predictions from Ice Universe, last year’s Galaxy S22+ only sold about 17% of the S22 series, which may have led Samsung to remove the mid-range model from the series.
Compared to its competitors, the Apple side, the iPhone 14 Plus, is the least popular of the four models that have been released. Because nowadays, users often choose to upgrade to the premium version. because the price difference is not much. But of course more features and capabilities
As with the Galaxy A series, The Elec expects Samsung may leave the average model with only the A1x, A3x, A5x, while the A2x and A7x may not continue.
However, there is still a year left before the Galaxy S24 series is actually launched. It may change in the future. I have to wait and see the progress of the Galaxy S23 series which will be released again in February.
