Although The Elder Scrolls 6 has been billed as a cross-platform game, Microsoft has no plans to release the open-world RPG on PlayStation consoles.
Commenting on the possibility that Microsoft will release Bethesda games on PS5 sometime in the future – like Starfield – Jeff Grubb, a well-known video game industry insider, said that won’t happen and that The Elder Scrolls 6 is being planned as a Xbox exclusive.
The Elder Scrolls 6 was originally revealed in Bethesda E3 2018 conference, but since then there has been virtually no news about the game. Recently, Todd Howard said that is still at the design stage and which is being developed on the new Creation Engine 2 engine.
After Microsoft acquired Bethesda, all games presented by the company are Xbox exclusives, including Starfield and Redfall. Apparently, The Elder Scrolls 6 will follow the same route. It was expected.
