Fans have released a remake of The Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall using the Unity engine. Announcement of the Daggerfall Unity project took place in 2015, i.e. They did it for about 8 years.
To release Daggerfall Unity 1.0 sent for the New Year: mechanics from the original TES Daggerfall were transferred to the Unity version of the classic Bethesda game; there is a huge rendering range (even without mods), smooth first-person controls, improved lighting, provided support for high resolution and widescreen monitors (provided for a retro mode of 320 x 200 or 640 x 400 with a VGA palette).
To run Daggerfall Unity you will need a copy of The Elder Scrolls 2 Daggerfall (Here you can find instructions for Steam). Project sources openso other community members can suggest some kind of mod.
