The artistic director of the festival Armands Siliņš points out: “The strength will still be in contrasts – academic art in the forest, listened to by the audience sleeping in tents and walking in rubber bands. The felling stage will feature a gift from the Dutch architects-artists association TAAT to Sanssouci – the fusion of ideal geometric shapes and nature in the installation-pavilion “KHOR II”. The “Sansusi” European Voluntary Youth project group, which lives and works in the residence “Susēja” this summer, and Latvian volunteers who regularly help with events took part in the construction.
There are three ways to participate in the festival. Full-time festival or three-day ticket. It is valid from Friday (13 August) at 17.00, when we start placing visitors in the area, until Sunday evening (August 15) (last concert at 15.30). The festival has always been a family festival, with a special family game this year as well, so although the festival will be “green” in terms of adult visitors, children will also be able to come with their parents, provided that children between the ages of 12 and 17 are either certificate or negative 48h test.
Families with children who have not been vaccinated or have been diagnosed with Covid-19, who only have a negative test result, will have a separate tent sector and will have to sit with parents in specially marked sectors where additional registration will be required. Families must keep their distance in the common area. Children will be able to be at the event from 6.00 to 24.00. The rest of the time children must be in accommodation.
