Wolves too harmless – Hessen bring leadership safely over time
No six-point weekend for the ice hockey aces of the EHC Freiburg at the start of the new DEL-2 season. After their 5: 2 home win over Heilbronn at the home start, the Wolves lost just 0: 1 (0: 1, 0: 0, 0: 0) to the Kassel Huskies on Sunday (November 8th, 2020).
The highlight video of the game follows …..
In a combat-oriented match, in which both teams stood out for their devensive work, the wolves lost out to the sled dogs that were a little more grippy. The Freiburg team did not take advantage of an early double majority. The game shares were evenly distributed until the Hessians blew the offensive at the end of the first third. Marcel Müller crowned the urge phase, six seconds before the siren, when he converted a rebound to 1-0 for the home side.
Huskies don’t let anything burn
With the leadership behind them, the huskies acted more confidently than the guests from Breisgau. At the end of the second section, Jake Ustdorf and Chris Billich from Friborg each received a small penalty, so that the wolves, for their part, had to run two minutes out of the game (36th) – they survived this unscathed.
The huskies played the game safely to the end in the final third and are third after the first weekend of the league game. The EHC Freiburg ranks seventh.
