Today, Wednesday, the Egyptian Medicines Authority warned of a fraudulent antibiotic on the market, calling for the seizure of counterfeit packages in pharmacies.
The Authority has ordered, with circular no. 31 of 2022, the seizure of packages of the antibiotic “Linezolid 600”, for lot no. “H18113 – H18116”.
He explained that Linezolid 600 is used in the treatment of bacterial and skin infections, noting in the publication the most obvious differences between the original and counterfeit packaging, as shown in the following images:
