Many people take medications, whether to control chronic diseases or to treat the diseases they suffer from, which causes some annoying side effects that often require consulting a specialist doctor or stopping the medication.

1- Dry mouth

Immunosuppressive drugs.

3- Inflammation of the lining of the mouth
Lining of the mouth is an inflammation of the moist tissues lining the mouth and the digestive system. This inflammation is a common side effect of chemotherapy. In addition, this causes swelling of the mouth, increased pain, bleeding, and ulcers, and thus makes it difficult for a person to eat.

4-Taste changes
Medicines can change the taste in the mouth and the person feels a metallic, salty or bitter taste, which causes a feeling of insensitivity to foods, and this is often spread among the elderly who are used to taking multiple medications, but the change in taste may disappear on its own after stopping the medication, including :

5-tooth decay
Long-term use of sweetened medications usually causes tooth decay, and this is found in vitamins, antacids, and syrups. Therefore, care must be taken to rinse the mouth well after taking these medications and to consult a specialist before taking them excessively.
