The Effectiveness of a Popular Video Game Tool on Male Fertility Has Been Scientifically Proven

A scientific study has just proven by A + B that a video game technology has a positive impact on male fertility. You didn’t see that one coming, did you?

infertility is a problem encountered by a very large number of couples in France. According to Ouest France, 3.3 million French people would be affected. Even if one is not, the quality of the semen may vary depending on the individual. There are some processes to improve it, but it seems that a new way has been discovered, and not the least.

Virtual reality, or VR, is a technology that allows you to fully immerse yourself in a visual universe. thanks to a helmet equipped with screens and placed directly on the face. Content adapts to head movements, providing a sense of realism and immersion. Video games are not the only area where VR is used, we are of course thinking of certain sites prohibited for those under 18.

Touching yourself in virtual reality improves fertility, really? Really

Exercise, eat well, manage stress. So many methods that have proven themselves in the positive impact they have on male fertility. But why settle for simple techniques, when you can fiddling in front of adult content with headphones on? You think I’m kidding, that I take you for donkeys, but nay.

The frontispiece of this study seems somewhat absurd; nevertheless, she is extremely serious. Carried out in October 2022 by a sperm bank, it brings together no less than 63 Danish men ready to risk everything for science. This experiment aims to test the impact of watching adult videos in virtual reality on semen quality. The participants made a total of 504 different donations, divided into two groups:

  • The first group polished themselves off withclassic screens
  • The second group received virtual reality headsets offering the same content.

The results of this study show a clear advantage of the use of VR on semen collection when the abstinence period of the donor is short (less than 24 hours). We found almost 50% higher sperm count (how many are moving, and therefore alive and relevant).

The big question is this: why VR has a positive impact on fertility? A relevant question, but one that remains unanswered. The study authors say they don’t know why, even if hypotheses are put forward as the consequence of increased stimulation thanks to the immersion allowed by VR.

A crazy solution, but not miraculous

Concretely, virtual reality seems to allow a faster and more qualitative renewal of male semen, only when a subject has already had fun for the first time a short time ago. The effectiveness of this method disappears completely when you exceed 30 hours, and could even have negative consequences on fertility after 100 hours.

There you go, you know everything. Without being the miracle solution to a major problem in our society, the simple fact that this kind of technology can have such a significant impact on male fertility is more than surprising.

Further experiments are needed

Finding a way to improve the quality of seminal liquor could make donations made to banks more qualitative. These donations would benefit women wishing to have a child, but unable to receive qualitative semen for various reasons.

The study concludes with the experiments to be carried out in order to go further into the problem: analyze the effect of different types of stimuli via VR, and the potential reasons for these variations of seed quality, always mysterious.
