The Education councilor highlights rural training in Fonteboa

The Minister of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, Román Rodríguez, visited the EFA Fonteboa Rural Promotion Center, in Coristanco, yesterday to learn first-hand about the Higher Cycle of Livestock and Animal Health Assistance, as well as other notable projects that They take place in the educational center. Among them, the study on the analysis and correction of nutrient deficiencies in agricultural land stands out, which seeks to improve fertilization and optimize production.

Román Rodríguez highlighted the importance of this educational center, which has more than 500 students distributed in 12 training cycles, including blended and distance learning modalities. EFA Fonteboa’s innovative and committed vocation to the rural environment was recognized with awards such as the Aresa Award in 2022, awarded by the Aresa Group and the University of Santiago de Compostela.

The Minister of Education highlighted the opportunities offered by the Livestock cycle, as well as the 10-week stay in livestock and veterinary companies in Ireland through the Erasmus+ program. In addition, students on this course complete 12 weeks of internships in the first year, and in the second year they participate in dual training, with paid internships between the months of January and June.
