Audi Middle East is collaborating with the Museum of the Future to present its fourth concept car, the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo, which will be presented for the first time in the region in the Museum’s “Our Future Today” pavilion.
This car was originally designed for electronic racing exclusively on the PlayStation 4, but Audi has transformed it into a true car inspired by the company’s history and successes in the world of racing. Inspired by the legendary 90 quattro IMSA GTO that fascinated motorsport enthusiasts in the late 1980s, the car is equipped with two electric motors on the rear axle and a third on the front axle, which together produce 600 kW (815 hp ).
The e-tron Vision Gran Turismo is the fourth Audi concept car to be exhibited in the museum. Earlier this year, Audi unveiled its first cars on display at the museum, the AI: ME, a concept car that embodies the concept of self-driving cars for the megacities of the future, as well as the Skysphere concept, a car that aims to raise the standard of luxury in the future. , changing what we know about mobility. The A6 Avant e-tron concept car was also exhibited at the museum, a symbol of the innovations that shape the future of mobility for Audi.
Majed Al-Mansoori, Executive Deputy Director of the Museum of the Future, said: “The futuristic experimental vehicles that we are exhibiting at the Museum of the Future, in partnership with Audi, offer the latest technologies and innovations for future mobility and embody global joint efforts. to develop practical solutions to future challenges. The Museum of the Future provides an international platform for global companies to collaborate and communicate with experts and researchers from various sectors and disciplines to develop innovative solutions. Visitors to today’s Future Exhibition at the Museum can closely examine innovative models and learn about creative ideas that shape future prospects and contribute to the development of flexible systems, such as those for urban mobility. This is part of the context of our commitment to the Museum to expand our international partnerships for the future of humanity. “
Interestingly, the Museum of the Future includes a permanent exhibition to showcase various future innovations and technologies. In addition to being an architectural masterpiece, the museum is considered a center for anticipating the future, designing the creative ideas associated with it, and hosting in-depth discussions on its orientations in various fields of science, economics, the environment and society.
Carsten Bender, CEO of Audi Middle East, said: “With the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo, we present our vision for the future of motorsport. Thanks to its three electric motors, evenly distributed between the front and rear axles, the car accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in less than 2.5 seconds, providing unprecedented performance in the electric vehicle class.
We are delighted to exhibit this concept car at the museum and to inform customers of our future ambitions. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the museum to see the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo concept and learn about Audi’s ideas for future mobility. “
The Museum of the Future will host the e-tron Vision Gran Turismo until February 2023, in the “Our Future Today” pavilion on the second floor.
