The Duvel Moortgat brewery, together with Michelin-starred chef Peter Goossens, offers special beers to drink with cheese

“It has been bothering me for years that every weekend in Belgium there are thousands of dinner parties where you drink bad wine instead of good beer,” adds Peter Goossens. “We have such wonderful beers in Belgium that it made us think about which beer to have after a meal.”

Even cheese master Frederic Van Tricht agrees. “Cheese and beer is something we have been promoting for years. We stand behind each other 200% and it is something we try to get people to put their wine away and have a nice Belgian beer with our cheeses every day. which has an enormously wide range of flavours. You have sour beers, bitter beers, sweet and fruity beers. The only thing you won’t find in beer is salt. Cheese is a salty product and the nicest thing about it is that you can combine the four flavors with beer.”
