Dutch singer Channii Monroe has been accused of rape by American singer and songwriter The-Dream (Terius Adamu Ya Gesteelde-Diamant). Chanaaz Mangroe, as the true title of the lady, says that the American pressured her to have intercourse once more, that he choked and blackmailed her with a intercourse video.
Mangroe, 33, is searching for compensation for misplaced earnings and for “psychological ache, anxiousness and extreme emotional misery.” She says she first met The-Dream in January 2015. He promised the Dutchman that he would make her “the following Beyoncé and Rihanna”. He wrote (co-wrote) a number of songs for these artists, amongst them A mirror in Single Ladies (ring it).
It’s stated that The-Dream, born Terius Youngdell Nash, quickly pressured her to have intercourse with him. She stated she stated that was a part of the method, the grievance states. The person, who’s 46, denies the allegations.
‘Hardest Choices’
In a press release to the BBC Mangroe says selecting to go public with this was one of many hardest selections of her life. “Ultimately my silence turned too painful and I noticed I wanted to inform my story to heal,” she says.
The-Dream was beforehand very profitable as a singer, songwriter and producer. He collaborated with high artists resembling Beyoncé, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey. He has received a number of main music awards, together with eight Grammy Awards.
