Résumé
The first volume of a series of cozy mystery investigations with Dutch sauce.
When Rosita Marcadet, a French investigator in her fifties and with the look of Madame Tout-le-monde, arrives in the Netherlands, in the coastal village of Beek aan Zee, the villagers wonder: what is this foreigner doing here, in this corner devoid of tourists since Antiquity?
All means being good to make her talk, Rosita Marcadet will be invited to the next social gathering in the area: the funeral of old Linda.
But in the middle of the ceremony, one of the guests throws himself off the roof. A suicide? Impossible. The guy was suffering from hellish vertigo. Rob Dolen would never have known how to even change a light bulb without fainting…
Rosita, much in demand, takes charge of the investigation, between four over-excited sisters, an overly sentimental government hacker, an incompetent sergeant addicted to sugar, more or less suspicious neighbors, a bar owner on the verge of a nervous breakdown and a completely surreal weather.
