The French-Latvian duo “He and She” offers a new video for the Latvian folk song “Saulīt ‘mana krustamāte”, informed the musician Ilze Lejiņa.
The music of the song was arranged by the French saxophonist Fred Hormain, while the videos sent by the duo’s followers and friends were edited together by the video artist Kaspars Kambars. About 100 people from Latvia and France participate in the video.
“The main idea of the video in this troubled 2020 is to remember what the core values are – moments of happiness with loved ones and a connection with nature,” the musicians emphasize.
“He and She”
The duo “He and She” started its activity in 2012, creating an unusual concert format, synthesizing music with theatrical elements. The members of the group are Latvian saxophonist multi-instrumentalist Ilze Lejiņa and French saxophonist multi-instrumentalist and composer Fred Ormen. Musicians have toured Latvia with concerts, performed in Luxembourg, France, Lithuania and Belgium.
