The driver (28) died in a collision in Westpoort

A car driver died in a collision at the intersection of Radarweg and Basisweg in Westpoort this evening. The victim was resuscitated, but without success.

The clash took place around 21:40. One of the cars hit the back of another car. A mobile medical team for trauma, several ambulances and several firefighters were called.

The fatal victim is a 28-year-old man. He lived in Amsterdam. Two occupants of another car were injured in the accident. They were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The police have launched a major investigation. A police spokesman asks witnesses to the accident to come forward.
