The drive in at Celadina sold out Movies under the stars: 130 cars on the square – EcoDiBergamo.it

The Seat Summer Arena, the drive-in in the Celadina square, promoted by the Municipality of Bergamo in collaboration with Seat (sponsor), Sbam company (who proposed the project), Capitol multiplex (for programming and artistic direction) is proving successful and Radio Number One (which sold the frequencies for the film’s audio).

And just Saturday 18 July there was the first evening with a full house: 130 cars were present. Thinking then that the proceeds from ticket prices (12 euros per car) will be donated to the “Help Woman” association for charity, the flavor of this success is even sweeter.

A lot of emotion also for Filippo Madella, owner of the Sbam company: «The idea was born – he says – to bring a little serenity and light-heartedness to this city which unfortunately has been battered by Covid. Until now, the response from Bergamo has been truly extraordinary and we are very satisfied ».

The drive-in opened on Wednesday 8 July and will continue until 8 August. The films are shown every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday around 9.30 pm for a total of 20 evenings.

«In the first week – continues Madella – there were more than 250 cars with around 750 people. While fifty cars a day arrived this week, with sold out on Saturday ». On Saturday evening Tarantino’s film “Once upon a time in … Hollywood” was shown on the 90-square-meter maxi screen.
