Home News

The ASL of Pescara informs that the UOC Food Hygiene and Nutrition has deemed it possible to restore the use of water intended for human consumption for drinking and food purposes also in the Municipality of Collecorvino, considering the results of the latest sampling carried out from the water coming from the source, in the public fountain in the Barberi district, which highlighted the return to conformity of the microbiological parameters established by current legislation.

The analyzes were carried out this morning by the Regional Agency for Environmental Protection (Arta) on water samples taken by ASL staff. No microbiological critical issues emerged and the results indicate that the parameters comply with the required safety standards, guaranteeing drinkability.

“I would like to thank our technicians for the commitment and professionalism demonstrated in this emergency phase – declares the general director of Arta Abruzzo, Maurizio Dionisio – especially for the speed with which they managed to complete the analyses. In this regard, applause goes to our team, whose professionalism has allowed Arta to become a cutting-edge agency in the field of microbiological analyses. It is no coincidence that our Agency, together with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità and the national accreditation body (Accredia), recently participated in an important national seminar on Water Microbiology to illustrate the work carried out in the accreditation of these innovative methods , setting a precedent for the entire sector.”
