Eight hundred items sold
The dress sold was the most valuable item in a total of eight hundred items – including books, DVDs – that belonged to the artist and that were offered for auction by his parents, Mitch and Janis. Some 4 million dollars (approximately 3.5 million euros) were obtained at the end of the sale, organized by the house Julien’s Auctions.
A heart-shaped handbag made by Moschino, which Amy Winehouse wore to the Brit Awards in 2007, sold for $ 204,800 (177,000 euros). Other dresses that belonged to her have been sold at prices ranging from $ 12,500 (10,800 euros) to 150,000 dollars (130,000 euros).
