Ronaldo noted that his long-term dream of winning the World Cup came to an end on Saturday. The forward has also declared his loyalty to his team-mates and to the Portuguese national team.

The captain of the Portuguese national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, after the team’s farewell to the World Cup in Qatar, wrote on Instagram (owned by Meta Platforms, the Tverskoy Court in Moscow recognized the company as extremist and banned its activity) that the dream of winning the World Cup had come to an end.
“I fought hard for this dream. I gave everything in the five World Cups I attended in 16 years, alongside the great players and with the support of millions of Portuguese. I left everything on the field. I have never shied away from a fight and I have never given up on this dream,” wrote 37-year-old Ronaldo.
According to him, “yesterday the dream ended” and you shouldn’t react strongly to this. The striker added that his “loyalty to Portugal hasn’t changed for a moment”.
“Now we have to wait for time to become a good adviser and allow everyone to draw their own conclusions,” wrote the 37-year-old Portuguese.
Portuguese lost in the quarterfinals to the Moroccans with the score 0:1. Ronaldo took part in five matches of the tournament and scored one goal.
To reach the final, the Moroccan team will play the French team on December 14th.
