A customer of a bar in the American state of New Hampshire left a tip of 16,000 dollars with a bill of 37.93 dollars, UPI reported.
A visitor to a restaurant in the town of Londonderry ordered two hot dogs, a few cocktails and fried pickles, and then asked for the bill.
Bartender Michelle McCadden was stunned to see the man leave a $ 16,000 tip. He paid by credit card. After settling the bill, the customer repeated three times, “Don’t spend it all at once.” This made a strong impression on the bartender, who looked at the note from the bank terminal and was shocked.
“I want to give you this money because you work so hard,” said the client, who was not a regular at the Londonderry bar in New Hampshire.
Embarrassed bartender McCudden immediately called owner Mike Carella. He decided that the customer wanted to leave a tip of $ 160, but accidentally pressed two more zeros when paying by credit card. “No, the amount is $ 16,000,” was the answer.
The bar staff usually share the tips of the day. The amount of 16,000 dollars will be shared by the 8 people from the staff who were on shift during the visit of the generous client. They promise to set aside money for kitchen workers as well.
