Ten days at home with his mother’s body, before deciding to take his own life by hanging himself. All told in a diary that the daughter, 48, wrote in those days of solitude, referring the epilogue of a life led together with the 71-year-old mother, in what some witnesses define as an existence on the verge of self-isolation. It will be the autopsy, ordered by the Monza prosecutor’s office, to confirm or not what was found by the carabinieri on the evening of December 27 in an apartment in via Tonale, a street in the center of Sesto San Giovanni. There the military found the corpse of a mother and daughter in an advanced state of decomposition, now almost mummified, as well as the carcasses of the three small dogs who lived with the two women.

Investigations by the Prosecutor’s Office
An acquaintance of the two warned the police, worried by the many empty phone calls she had made to offer them Christmas greetings. To enter the apartment, the intervention of the fire brigade was necessary. The 71-year-old’s body was on the bedroom floor, lying on some blankets. According to what the daughter reported in a text found on the spot by the carabinieri (in which she also indicated her wills), the death of her mother, already tried by disabling health problems, would have been a fall, which occurred about ten days before. The 48-year-old, however, was found hanged from the kitchen door handle. Given the condition of the bodies, the investigators hypothesize that the death must be backdated much earlier than the discovery. Decisive, to establish the times and modalities of the death of both, could be the results of the autopsy exam wanted by the judiciary.
