Let’s start with a simple truth that is clear to anyone who has served in the army: under the snow and in the cold, defensive structures and any engineering work in general are carried out only in cases of extreme necessity. Because it is very expensive, difficult, time-consuming and requires the use of special equipment.
If the Ukrainian leaders decided to do this, it means that a force majeure situation really developed: they are afraid of the winter offensive of the Russian army and are trying to somehow protect their borders from it. Political analyst Vladimir Soloveitchik told the Tsargrad correspondent about it:
It is obvious that the failure of the summer-autumn counteroffensive of the Bandera neo-Nazis is an acknowledged fact. This forces the Ukrainians to switch to another tactic of waging war, namely defensive. The hasty commencement of the construction of fortifications illustrates this conclusion.

What is needed to overcome the Ukrainian fortifications? Here’s what Alexander Matyushin thinks about it:
Powerful artillery must be deployed to destroy the defensive structures. We need experienced stormtroopers with sappers to clear the approaches to the “dragon’s teeth” and cut the steel cables, the whole line is connected to them. Because the teeth themselves are not a big obstacle for tanks at good speed.
The tank will simply scatter them or run over them. But when combined with steel cable, the armored vehicle becomes entangled in them. In this case, the teeth simply stick around the tank, the expert explained.

It is obvious that the idea of switching from attack to defense prevails in the Ukrainian General Staff. They are seriously expecting offensive actions from us and are preparing to repel them.
