West Progo –
The presence of a dragon statue in the Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) Airport area in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) was highlighted by Ummat Party politician Mustofa Nahrawardaya. So what do visitors to YIA airport think?
“Personally, it doesn’t matter, no matter what form it takes, the intention must also be good so that the airport looks more beautiful,” said one visitor from Sleman, Ghifari (32), when met around the location of the Dragon Statue, Thursday (30/12). /2021).
Ghifari said the presence of this dragon statue actually attracted the public. While waiting for the pick-up, passengers can take pictures with the displays.
“Not only passengers, I, who was waiting for my family to leave the terminal, can also take pictures with the children,” he said.
Another passenger, Suratno (51), admitted that he did not know this statue was in the spotlight because of the choice of the shape of the dragon. Suratno admitted that he did not question it.
“For me, it doesn’t matter, because the important thing is that the existence of this statue can make the atmosphere of the airport more lively. So if possible, there are also additional statues, such as the shape of an eagle and a hero,” said Suratno.
