The four-star DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Oradea is set to go on sale. The Board of Directors of SIF Hotels will propose, in March, to the Extraordinary General Meeting of Associates the sale, together with all movable, immovable, tangible or intangible assets and the related contracts, of this hotel.
The information appears in the public announcement by which the company summons the shareholders to the EGMS, on March 17, 2022.
The measure is proposed under the signature of the head of the Board of Directors, Teodora Sferdian, “following an in-depth internal analysis” and is motivated by the fact that “the activity of hotels in the patrimony of SIF Hotels was severely affected by the crisis generated by the pandemic”.
Specifically, they list: “the negative result recorded since the opening by Hotel Doubletree by Hilton Oradea and the avoidance of accumulating additional losses; high brand and management costs; high need for CAPEX to compensate for the physical and moral wear and tear of fixed assets and inventory shortages; acute shortage of skilled personnel and rising prices for raw materials, goods, utilities, etc.;
The CA SIF Hotels also states that there are no “realistic / sustainable prospects for the growth of the hotel business leading to a substantial and effective improvement of performance indicators”.
As a result, “the proposal to sell the DoubleTree by Hilton Oradea hotel, together with all the movable, immovable, tangible or intangible assets and the contracts related to the continuation and development of the hotel activity to the highest quality standards, in the form of a transfer, is submitted to the shareholders for approval. of assets and liabilities with universal title of goods, these not being treated individually, but as a unitary whole that represents an independent business in accordance with the provisions of the Fiscal Code “.
If the proposal is accepted by the EGMS, the hotel will be evaluated and then put up for sale. DoubleTree by Hilton in Oradea was inaugurated in the fall of 2012.
