The dossier concerning the Rai appointments is on the desk of Mario Draghi for several weeks, but what happened at the May Day concert could favor the turnaround in Viale Mazzini which seems to be the intentions of the prime minister. “Fedez served Draghi on a silver platter the possibility of killing the parties in the Rai appointments”, maliciously wrote the carrier, an anonymous Twitter account who is always well informed about the background of the building. And indeed it could be so, given that everyone has rediscovered themselves against the subdivision of Rai, too Giuseppe Conte who with his government made the latest appointments and now expresses solidarity with Fedez.
“This is the right time to reform Rai and free it from political interference”, wrote the former prime minister in a post published on social media: “The new Rai must rise on different pillars. And politics, with all due respect, must stay out the door. If we do not thoroughly reform governance, we will never achieve the conditions for bring about the desired revolution“. The one that evidently failed to act as prime minister, and so now it’s up to Draghi to try.
The prime minister’s most trusted men are working on the dossier, namely Antonio Garofoli (undersecretary to the presidency of the Council), Antonio Funiciello (head of the premier’s cabinet), Alessandro Rivera (director general of the Treasury) and minister Giancarlo Giorgetti. The intention would be that of a substantial renewal to be implemented by rewarding figures of technicians rather than politicians.
