Motorcycle consumer character Yamaha in East Java apparently not much different from DKI Jakarta. There, the best-selling products are still dominated by Maxi models such as NMax and Aerox.
Deputy Director Sales & Marketing of PT Surya Timur Sakti East Java (STSJ) as the main Yamaha dealer in East Java, Rifany Widjaja said, the character of Yamaha consumers in Java Island is still relatively the same. They like vehicles that are practical, large and functional.
“So it depends on the character of the area, yes, in East Java it is more or less the same (as other cities on Java Island). Maxi is still the first, then we prepare Classy to be the new pillar,” said Rifany Widjaja to the media crew in Probolinggo, East Java , Thursday (17/8).

Meanwhile, if broken down further, there are three Maxi products with the best sales in East Java. The three motorbikes are also in demand in other provinces on the island of Java.
“Maxi is still the main NMax, then there are Aerox and Lexi,” he said.
Furthermore, specifically for NMax, Rifany explained, previously the unit was hard to find in East Java. However, lately the stock has continued to increase, so local consumers don’t have to wait long to get their units.
“In the past, it was difficult to sell in East Java, in the beginning there were many who protested about the availability of stock. But now it’s extraordinary. This motorbike is big, but not tall. This is a multi-purpose motorbike, so it’s not just men who use it, but also women,” he said.

While Aerox, he said, the market continues to grow. Because, in terms of model, the vehicle is suitable for the character of young people who use motorbikes a lot.
“Aerox is trending up again, because the target market is clear, right, young people. Now I don’t know what the request is, because just changing the color has a huge effect,” he said.
