Cairo – Mubasher: Dollar exchange rates against the Egyptian pound rose by 10 piasters at the start of today’s trading and at the start of weekly trading, in Egyptian banks.
The dollar’s exchange rate has seen significant movement against the Egyptian pound, as it jumped between £2.35 for buying and about £2.40 for selling in Egyptian banks last week, according to Middle East News Agency.
And in the two largest banks by assets and transactions, the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, the exchange today registered £27.05 buying and £27.10 selling.
In private banks, the dollar exchange rate in the Commercial International Bank recorded £27.10 for the purchase and £27.20 for the sale, and in the Egyptian Gulf Bank recorded £27.15 for the purchase and £27.25 per sale.
In the Central Bank, the average price of the dollar against the Egyptian pound was £27.07 for purchases and £27.16 for sales.
As for the major currencies, the European currency, the euro, recorded an increase of between 22 and 30 piasters, buying and selling in Egyptian banks.
In the National Bank and Banque Misr, it recorded £28.77 for the purchase and £28.98 for the sale.
And in Commercial International Bank, £28.82 for buying and £28.07 for selling.
In the Central Bank, the average price of the euro against the Egyptian pound was £28.72 for purchases and £28.83 for sales.
The British Pound has rallied by between about 35-37 piasters, buying and selling in Egyptian banks.
In the National Bank and Banque Misr, it recorded £32.70 for the purchase and £32.96 for the sale.
And in the Commercial International Bank, he posted £32.76 for the purchase and £33.07 for the sale.
In the Central Bank, the average prices of the pound against the Egyptian pound recorded 32.57 pounds for purchases and 32.68 pounds for sales.
In the Arab world, the Saudi riyal recorded an increase of 3 piastres against the Egyptian pound, registering £7.19 for buying and £7.21 for selling at the National Bank.
And the UAE dirham was on the rise today, to £7.36 for buying and £7.37 for selling.
And the Kuwaiti dinar registered £85.26 buying and £88.56 selling… according to the National Bank.
