Physician-neurologist “CM-Clinic” Maria Ignatova spoke about the danger of sleeping next to a smartphone.
The expert noted in an interview with the Prime agency that smartphones and other gadgets have radio frequency radiation. It, in turn, is absorbed by the tissues of the human body. This, according to the doctor, has a negative effect on health. Ignatova said that some studies show an increase in the risk of infertility, oncology, neurological and mental disorders.
Children, pregnant women, patients with cardiovascular, nervous and immune disorders can be hit the hardest.
The only thing, the doctor noted, is that there is no one hundred percent evidence of the effect of radio frequency radiation on the human body.
Also, the blue color of the smartphone screen, when used at night, negatively affects the eyes and biological rhythms. It can cause insomnia, headaches, decreased performance and impaired memory.
The expert says – the phone should lie two meters from the bed at night.
