After taking the material in the laboratory, its protein composition and cell activity are determined. The faster the rate of their division, the higher the likelihood of cancer. With this method, specialists determine the source of metastases, the type of tumor and the origin of the disease.
“By the rate of growth of malignant cells, we can determine the prognosis of the development of the disease and the prognosis of the effectiveness of the use of one or another type of treatment,” – said Grigory Demyashkin.
